How ILoveQ works

ILoveQ splits the work between a lightweight edge worker in your own account and the ILoveQ cloud. Your site stays where it is; the queue sits in front of it.

Architecture overview: visitors reach the ILoveQ edge worker in your own edge account, which admits them to your website or sends them to the waiting room served by the ILoveQ cloud, hosted in the EU.

  1. A lightweight edge worker

    A small script runs at the edge of your site, in your own edge account. On every request it decides whether the visitor goes straight through or into the waiting room.

  2. Your site stays where it is

    No changes to your hosting or your shop. Admitted visitors reach your website just as before, at the pace you set.

  3. Everything else in the ILoveQ cloud

    Queue management, the waiting room, the dashboard and the reports run in the ILoveQ cloud, on servers hosted in the EU (other regions available on request). There is nothing for you to operate.

What you need today

  • Today the integration requires your domain to be on Cloudflare.
  • The ILoveQ edge worker runs in your own account.
  • A branded waiting room template: your logo, colours and texts, in the languages you need.

The life of an event

Before the sale

  • Set the protected path, admission rate and session length.
  • Schedule the pre-queue: early arrivals see a countdown.
  • Tell us how many visitors you expect in total; this sets the booked event size.
  • We pre-scale our infrastructure for the scheduled event, with headroom.

During the sale

  • Visitors move on in order of arrival and see their position and estimated wait.
  • Follow queue length and admissions on the live dashboard.
  • Pause admissions or change the speed live, down to 1 visitor per minute.
  • Allow-listed IPs, such as payment callbacks, bypass the queue.

After the sale

  • Receive a PDF report with the data of the event.
  • Additional event units are billed by the booked event size; any traffic beyond it is settled after the event.

Extra protection at your edge

In your own account you can add your edge provider’s bot challenge in front of the waiting room entry, to filter out simpler automated traffic.
